Program Director
Julie is a co-owner of Visions in Motion Adult Day program which was created when she began looking into a day program for her son who was aging out of the school system. Julie and her husband Michael are the proud parents of two adult sons, one who has Fragile X Syndrome. Julie current serves as a board member of NoLimitz Recreation and the Elk Grove Youth Baseball League – Champions Division. Julie’s vision was to create a day program where clients are empowered to express themselves, explore their strengths, and thrive in a supportive, safe environment. I believe every individual has something meaningful to contribute, and through community volunteering, our clients can build confidence and purpose. She is passionate about fostering growth through creativity, connection, and dignity.
Chief Executive Officer
Shirley is a co-owner of Visions in Motion Adult Day Program which has served individuals with developmental disabilities since 2016. She and her husband Keith are the proud parents of two daughters and a son who has autism. She has maintained an active presence locally in both the business sector and special needs community for more than 30 years. Shirley currently holds board positions with NoLimitz Recreation, Kiwanis Club of Laguna-Elk Grove and the Elk Grove Police Chief’s Community Advisory Board. She was inspired by her son to leverage her background as a former state lobbyist and CA real estate broker to create and design a day program with an engaging and challenging curriculum that was tailored to helping individuals with special needs reach their fullest potential. She is committed to ensuring that all participants are active and contributing members of their communities.
Chief Financial Officer
With over 30 years in small business financial management and a lifelong dedication to inclusive community programs, Keith brings both precision and purpose to his role as CFO of Visions In Motion Adult Day Program. A seasoned nonprofit leader and former Director of the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce, Keith is also Executive Director of NoLimitz Recreation, which provides recreational camps and fitness programs for adults with developmental disabilities. Keith is a proud father of two adult daughters and a son with autism. With years of experience coaching basketball for the Special Olympics, he leads with empathy, accountability, and a deep commitment to inclusion. His passion lies in creating supportive spaces where individuals of all abilities can thrive—on and off the court.
Board Member
Michael has been working for the State of California as a Manager in Information Technology for over 25 years. He serves as a non-voting board member of Visions in Motion Adult Day Program and assists with IT needs of the program. He is the proud father of two adult sons, one with Fragile X Syndrome. He has been an active volunteer in his son’s sporting activities, from coaching Special Olympics basketball, NoLimitz camps and Champion’s Baseball teams. Michael is also an avid music lover, who enjoys playing the piano and the acoustic guitar, and also DJ’s local events.
