Visions in Motion ADP | Elk Grove Adult Day Program Visions In Motion

Our Mission

At Visions In Motion, our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment tailored to individuals with special needs—promoting improvements in their health, well-being, independent living skills, and ability to advocate for themselves with confidence and dignity.

What We Do & Who We Serve

Visions In Motion (VIM) is an adult day program for persons affected by developmental delays. The program provides each client with experiences that enhance their overall health, self-worth, and self-esteem. Our environment encourages personal growth with a focus on communication, education, recreation, fitness, health, and wellness.

VIM is an Elk Grove-based corporation that provides a personalized and comprehensive Adult Day Program for developmentally disabled individuals ages 18 to 70. Our services are built around a person-centered philosophy, ensuring every client receives meaningful opportunities tailored to their unique needs, interests, and goals. We maintain a consistent 1-to-4 staff-to-client ratio to provide safety, structure, and individualized support.

A Day in the Life

Morning Fitness

Morning Movement or Outings

We begin each day with energizing activities such as group fitness sessions, peaceful nature walks, or community outings to local parks and businesses. These experiences are designed to promote physical well-being, establish a healthy routine, and foster independence. By engaging both body and mind early in the day, clients build strength, confidence, and a positive mindset to carry with them throughout their daily journey.

Art Time

Creative Expression

From hands-on arts and crafts projects to interactive music sessions and group games, clients are given the freedom to explore their creativity in a supportive environment. These activities not only encourage self-expression and imagination but also help develop important skills such as focus, fine motor coordination, and collaborative problem-solving. Through shared creative experiences, individuals build meaningful social connections, boost self-confidence, and find joy in expressing who they are.

Life Skills

Daily Living Skills

Activities such as budgeting, grocery planning, and practicing healthy communication are woven into daily routines to support real-world learning and life readiness. These skill-building opportunities empower clients to make informed decisions, manage responsibilities, and navigate everyday tasks with growing independence. By engaging in practical scenarios that mirror real-life situations, individuals gain confidence, improve problem-solving abilities, and develop a stronger sense of self-reliance that extends beyond the program setting.

Friendship and Fun

Social Time & Team Building

Group lunches, shared games, and themed activity days create meaningful opportunities for clients to come together, build friendships, and enjoy a sense of community. Whether it's laughing over a meal, working as a team during a game, or dressing up for a holiday celebration, these moments foster inclusion, connection, and joy. Through consistent social interaction and positive peer engagement, individuals feel valued, supported, and truly part of something bigger — a space where they belong and can thrive together.
